WHAT WE DO NOT FUND
We appreciate your understanding of these limitations as we strive to allocate resources effectively to meet the specific needs of our eligible applicants. |
OUR FUNDS The Blanche Fischer Foundation Board of Directors is dedicated to preserving the trust established by Blanche Fischer in the early '80s, ensuring ongoing support for individuals with permanent physical disabilities. To uphold this commitment, Foundation grants have a cap of $1,500 over a 36-month period. CO-PAY We encourage applicants to seek a "co-pay" or "in-kind contribution" to augment their grant request. While recognizing the financial constraints of many applicants, we urge everyone to explore personal and community resources for additional support. Please consult the Suggested Resources tab for guidance on potential sources of assistance. IN-KIND CONTRIBUTIONS In-kind contributions, such as volunteer assistance, play a crucial role in our grant process. For instance, volunteer labor can significantly reduce the overall cost of a service or device. We especially emphasize the value of volunteers for physical tasks related to obtaining necessary services or devices. The true cost of a project often includes both materials and labor, so applicants are encouraged not to underestimate the contribution of volunteers in their requests. |
