What is the Independence Fund for Oregonians?
The Independence Fund for Oregonians is a new initiative by the Blanche Fischer Foundation (BFF) designed to grow our giving portfolio (endowment fund) and increase direct financial support for Oregonians with permanent physical disabilities. This fund serves as both a long-term investment in financial sustainability and an avenue for donors to contribute directly to grant programs, ensuring that individuals and nonprofit organizations have access to critical resources that foster independence, accessibility, and well-being for those with permanent physical disabilities.
Our Goal
The Independence Fund was created to:
✔ Grow our endowment to $10 million by 2030, ensuring a sustainable future for BFF’s giving programs for those with permanent physical disabilities.
✔ Expand direct giving programs, allowing donors to contribute to grants that support individuals and nonprofit partners.

How It Works
The fund operates in two key ways:

By contributing to the Blanche Fischer Foundation endowment fund , donors help expand BFF’s financial strength, allowing us to increase annual grantmaking, strengthen advocacy efforts, and provide sustainable support for disability-focused initiatives.
